I have been involved with photography since around 1955, starting with a Kodak Brownie, and progressing over the years with a Kodak Retinette, a Pentax SV, and an Olympus OM2SP. I still have the Pentax and the Olympus and have two medium format cameras - a Rolleicord 5b and a Bronica ETRS.

I started my digital journey with a Nikon Coolpix 885 in 2002 and now I use a Nikon D300 and a Nikon D70s. I have gradually come to terms with computer technology replacing the darkroom. Now my processing is done principally with Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop CS3.

I have to say that the ability to do all of my darkroom work in the light and without the use of chemicals or the necessity of taking over the kitchen has been a pleasant experience, but it can never replace blacking out the kitchen, setting up the enlarger, starting the stopwatch and the anticipation of watching a print develop in the dish.

I love monochrome images.

I primarily take photographs for myself, but hope you will like some of them too. If you do, all of the images on the public areas of this site are available for sale. I occasionally take on assignments that I can fit in with my other commitments.
